Melissa essential oil is one that is very pungent, and very potent, a little goes a long way. When I got my first 5ml bottle I thought to myself this isn't going to last - but it's amazing how when you have something that works - you really don't need a lot of it to do a lot of good. Melissa is something I use to synergize with other essential oils and to help give a boost when I'm working with a chronic or long lasting concern, it's rarely ever used as a stand alone aromatherapy solution, but it has a lot of wonderful benefits. Blue tansy is a very unique essential oil - it's very thick, and very very blue! This essential oil is often associated with creative thinking, and getting the "juices flowing" again. Melissa is known to awaken the soul to truth and light and reminds us of who we truly are and why we came to this earth. It invites us to release whatever is holding us back from reaching our fullest potential and gives us spiritual guidance and reconnects us to our inner voice and helps us find validation when we are weighed down by the burdens of life it helps us find strength in the inner most recesses of our hearts and allows us to free that energy and reconnect us to that spiritual goodness deep inside of ourselves.

Physically, Melissa helps us by being an antihistamine, so it stops allergic reactions. It's also antibacterial and antiviral, so it's great when added to blends to help combat cold and flu bugs. It helps stop high blood pressure and calms the cardiovascular system, it's a nerve tonic and sedative to help regulate the nervous system and balance your emotions. It is very similar to litsea in this regard and with geranial as it's primary constituent it can also be used to help with connective tissue concerns and to ease pain associated with muscle tension, strain and sprains.
This essential oil, as said is very potent, so it typically is not used as a stand alone essential oil, but rather is used in formulations and blends for it's synergestic effect, as such it is rare to use more than 1 or 2 drops of this essential oi within any formulation or blend.
Please note, this essential oil has contraindications when used with certain medications, and with certain medical conditions - if you are under the care of a physician, and on medication, please set up a consultation prior to use. Also, please note this essential oil should not be use with children under 2 years old, and should not be applied to the skin in a dilution greater than .9% in order to avoid adverse reaction. Blue Tansy Essential Oil
Blue Tansy helps us find inspired action, and supports us when we've been resistant to change or take action to transform our situations and circumstances. Physically, blue tansy helps us to combat allergies, and things that we allow to bother us whether it's pollen and dander or insects and bites. It also is great for our skin to help cleanse our pores and combat acne, eczema and psoriasis or other skin infections. It is beneficial to use while over coming addictions and creating more self confidence and stopping self-sabotaging behaviors. It can be beneficial for helping you overcome colds and flus as it is anti viral.
Blue tansy should not be confused with regular tansy which is a neurotoxin and causes adverse skin reactions when applied undiluted.
